This bit of the episode feels unnecessary, but it works. They visit many previously established places like HekapooвЂ™s dimension, the temple and even an unknown dimension where the passage is boarded up. This episode begins with Star and Moon messing around, travelling up waterfalls to other dimensions. This was an exciting and rewarding first part to the finale, but nothing could prepare us for the huge jaw dropping scenes of the second half: Conquer. It was very well animated and very rewarding. It was great to see all these characters that have been introduced and developed this season fight together. My favourite part of this episode was the вЂMarcnificent 7вЂ™ subplot. But I think that it was necessary for Star to look for Moon as that would definitely be the most realistic course of action, even if it was ultimately pointless. One small gripe I have is that the plot with Star seems like вЂfillerвЂ™ as it doesnвЂ™t really amount to anything. This episode was a fantastic and exciting set up for the huge battle with Meteora, with Marco and his crew delaying the monster-mewman hybrid and Star attempting to find her mother. We end the episode with Star and Moon running around distracted and their only way out of the magic realm closing. They seem to be succeeding, until Meteora pulls out a huge tail whip, putting out the fire and sucking Pony HeadвЂ™s soul. I love KellyвЂ™s knight suit, knee pads and ponytail and Tom looks like a fire lord from Avatar the Last Airbender (not that IвЂ™ve watched that show.) Marco, however, gets into his Princess Turdina outfit to lure Meteora into a ring of fire. But the main two who are armoured up specially are Tom and Kelly. Pony and Jorby receives some plating while Hekapoo and Talon stay in their normal suits. On the battle field, Marco and his team suit up into their armour. Moon seems to have forgotten everything in her distracted state and in StarвЂ™s attempts to bring her back, she succumbs to the same fate. Not sure if thatвЂ™s what they were going for, but thatвЂ™s what I thought. It appears in the show that Moon is completely naked and sheвЂ™s only being covered up by her hair. She discovers Moon just as she heals her eye. Meanwhile, Star goes to the Realm of Magic to search for Moon, armed with phones constantly reminding her of who she is. These being himself, Tom, Hekapoo, Pony Head, Talon Raventalon, Jorby and, my favourite character, Kelly. From here, Marco forms the вЂMarcnificent 7,вЂ™ a team comprised of important characters from the series. He offers no help, but once again just like her mother, she consults her love interest, Marco (urgh.) Marco persuades her to let him go out and stall Meteora while she goes out to find Moon in the realm of magic. Star is next approached by River, yet another similarity. Anyway, the knights canвЂ™t offer any solutions Star storms out of the war room, a la вЂMoon the Undaunted.вЂ™ In fact, this episode shows many parallels to that episode in a subtle way.

It seems that the royals view them as traitors now and IвЂ™m wondering what their roles in the series will be from now on. Something I find interesting is StarвЂ™s banishment of the Magical High Commission from the war room. Star puts her in chains to ensure that she wonвЂ™t interfere again and tries to consult the Knights in the war room. The episode begins with Star interrogating Eclipsa about the events of Tough Love and learns about the impending destruction that Meteora will bring on Mewni castle, as well as her motherвЂ™s entrapment in the magic realm. Please be aware there is a Spoiler Warning on this review and it would be good to have some basic knowledge of previous SVTFOE episodes.Дivide is the build up episode that is needed to give impact to the second half but is still enjoyable in every sense of the word. ItвЂ™s nice and simple IвЂ™ll just dis cuss all the plot points of the episodes while giving my opinion and thoughts on them and then at the end IвЂ™ll give a score out of 10. The format that I use in this review will be the one that IвЂ™ll use for all reviews.

One day IвЂ™ll go in-depth on how much I love this season but this review is focused on the two-parter season finale, Divide and Conquer. That was when I knew that Season 3 would be the biggest season of Star yet. This especially continued through the Battle for Mewni movie. Ever since the bombshell abrupt ending of the season 2 finale, Star vs the forces of evil has jumped up to the legendary status that I hold Steven Universe and Gravity Falls in. Star vs the forces of evil has been there for me when Steven Universe has faltered.
